I pledge to support flexible workplaces

I call on employees and employers - big and small - to use Flexible Working Day on XX XXXXX 2016 to make their workplaces more flexible for families.

Whether it’s increased productivity, retention of talent in the workplace, more quality time with family or simply less stress and a healthier and happier life – flexibility at work benefits everyone.

But with less than 50% of Australian companies still not having any flexible work policies in place, it’s time for less talk and more action!

More flexibility will require businesses and government to their workplace cultures and policies, including:

  • A world class paid parental leave scheme
  • High quality post-partum support for mothers
  • Family-friendly work policies
  • Flexible and affordable childcare
  • Taxation policies that reflect the unique needs of families with young children.
