Pertussis (whooping cough) is a bacterial disease that is particularly severe in infants and newborns. We were all stunned and heartbroken when we heard about little Riley Hughes who lost his life to whooping cough earlier this year.

Since then, Riley's parents Greg & Catherine have done an amazing job raising awareness around the disease with their work thru their Light for Riley organisation and we are so pleased they could partner with us on this #babybumpjab campaign.

Cath wrote to our members to encourage them to join this campaign - read her message here.

Thankfully whooping cough is a preventable disease and we can protect ourselves and our children by getting the third trimester whooping cough booster shot. Recently all Australian states have introduced free whooping cough booster for mothers in their third trimester. Getting your #babybumpjab will help protect mums contracting the disease, but also protect your newborn.

It is also important that not only expecting mums get their #babybumpjab, but anyone who will come in contact with newborns get their booster shoots too (looking at you dads, grandparents, aunts & uncles, etc)!

Please join our campaign and help us raise awareness for the third trimester whooping cough booster. Sign the petition on the right hand side of this page and we'll send you the tools and resources you can use to help educate yourself and your friends.

Finally, below you will also find information about how and where you can get your free #babybumpjab in your state:
