SHUT DOWN OF EARLY LEARNING SECTOR
The September 7 “Shut Down” of the early learning sector is a call for better pay, better conditions and more respect for the educators who educate, care and nurture  our children. Let’s support educators tomorrow! Find out how here.

WHO'S UP FOR A FAMILY-FRIENDLY CAMPAIGN WORKSHOP?
The Victorian and NSW Government’s joint announcement of an extra year of free play based learning is a huge opportunity to transform early education and families lives. We need YOUR help to ensure this happens no matter who wins the upcoming elections in Victoria and NSW! Join us at our upcoming Campaign Workshop next week. Register here!

GREAT NEWS FROM TASMANIA!
We have some good news: the Tasmanian state government has announced it will expand free access to early childhood education and care services. That’s why we’re thanking the Tasmanian government BUT also asking them to develop and implement a workforce strategy because early educators deserve to be well paid and well treated. If you agree, send a letter to the Tasmania Premier.

JOBS AND SKILLS SUMMIT
Last week’s Jobs and Skills Summit brought together Australians from across business, unions, civil society, community organisations and government, to address the economic challenges we’re facing as a nation. Our Executive Director, Georgie Dent, attended the summit and gave a passionate speech on why we need better parental policies and why early educators need to be paid better and valued more. Watch Georgie’s speech here.
